Breakaway Sign Post Coupler

Snap'n Safe Breakaway sign post couplers improve safety substantially while saving you money. They are NCHRP 350 compliant so you know that their performance is proven. Installation or sign post repairs are done in half the time with one person when fitted with a Snap'n Safe.

They easily adapt to your existing posts instead of requiring new post systems or special anchors. Snap'n Safe couplers don't require any special tools to be purchased. After an impact, just replace the coupler instead of the whole sign & post.

Snap'n Safe is designed to breakaway upon impact but not weaken the load performance of most posts. It has been tested to winds of 120mph (193km/h). There are models available for square, Round & U Channel posts. Cut your existing post and add a breakaway Snap'n Safe coupler or use a surface mount breakaway coupler for concrete.

Couplers for square posts from 1-1/2″ to 2-1/2″, surface mount couplers from 1-3/4″ to 2-1/2″, couplers and surface mount for round posts 16Ga, 12Ga & 8Ga, couplers and surface mount for U channel type 3.
